We initially met at Rice University back in 2012 and knew each other through other friends on campus, but the real story starts with an innocent question a few years later: “Hey, I’m moving to NYC next month. I know you’re leaving the city, but just curious if you would recommend any specific neighborhoods to live in?” - Logan to Tracy in July of 2016 Tracy was helpful and Logan ended up moving into an apartment in one of the recommended neighborhoods. Meanwhile Tracy started her two year trek around the globe visiting New York every once in a while. During one of Tracy’s visits to New York, Logan asked Tracy if she wanted to postpone her flight back to Thailand to come to his birthday (note: he had hired a magician so it was guaranteed to be awesome). Her response said it all: “Sorry, I’m not going to rearrange my life around a guy I met five years ago.” Fast forward to the summer of 2018 and Tracy decided to end her globetrotting days and moved back to NYC. A couple of months later and after as Tracy describes “a few terrible early dates” we hit our stride and never looked back. During 2020 we got our first apartment together and experienced things like cutting each other’s hair because no businesses were open. In October of 2021 and after a lot of plotting and planning Logan popped the question and most importantly Tracy said “Yes!” So Logan got the last laugh….or Tracy did…it depends who you ask and who tells their version of the story! Thanks in advance for coming to celebrate our wedding with us. Bring your dancing shoes because Tracy explicitly said it’s supposed to be “a party but classy.”
