"Semi-Formal": Think sundresses or cocktail dresses or pants with a tie or bow tie. No full suits required, unless you are that passionate. Avoid wearing white and olive green, as those are our wedding colors. Helpful Tips • We’ll be outside in Michigan in October, which could mean anything from 30° to 80°, so the most important thing is to dress comfortably. • Both the ceremony and reception are outside. After the sunsets, expect a temperature drop. • The ceremony is on grass, so pointy heels will sink!
Yes, both the ceremony and reception are outside (obviously - we love nature). Ceremony: Uncovered, in direct sunlight. Reception: Covered patio
If you are coming from off-site, arrive at the BoatHouse Villa no later than 3:15pm. The ceremony will start promptly at 3:30pm.
Most important is to be prepared for the weather! We will be outside in sun, rain, snow, or sleet, so be prepared. Both hotels have a pool and gym and we will be on the lake, so pack a bathing suit and athletic gear if you'd like to swim, hike, kayak, jet ski, or be out on the water!
As much as we adore your kiddos, this celebration is adults only.
Sadly, no. We even have to leave our own pup at home for this celebration :(
If you get a plus one, you already know. (Hint: says "Guest" on your invitation)

Yes.... as long as you tell us before July 3, 2026.
No, you are responsible for your own transportation to/from the venue and airport. There are plenty of Uber/Lyft drivers around this area. Let us know if you are flying and we can carpool flights that arrive at similar times.
Please don't! We have an amazing photographer for that reason.
Yes, before September 1st. It its after September 1st, please text us directly.
