Back in 2008, Alex and I joined the high school band (he played trombone and I played clarinet). We were assigned the same bus as freshmen so he had no choice but to talk to me whenever we had an Away game. After that, it took me 2 years of texting, walking to class together, and a 16 hour band trip bus ride to finally break him down and ask me to be his girlfriend. Mission accomplished!

If you thought that Alex taking 2 years to ask me to be his girlfriend was too long, try dating for nearly 11 years before he asked me to marry him! The wait was all worth it. What was a typically trip to Disney's Animal Kingdom for me, turned to Alex getting down on one knee and asking me to be his wife. He coordinated with our friends Chris and Paola to create the best Disney proposal at my favorite park and in front of the iconic Tree of Life! He tricked me into thinking we were dressing up to take our Annual Christmas pictures. When I thought we were done with pictures, he got down on one knee and asked me the long awaited question. I can't remember what he said because I was shocked that it was FINALLY happening! Of course I said, "are you serious? Yes!"
