It was either fate or the Blue Light's chicken tenders that brought Nicole and Chris together, but let's go with fate. On the morning of Sunday, September 8th, Chris was exactly where anyone who knows him well knew he would be: watching the Dolphins at 10am at The Blue Light, the only Dolphins bar in SF. Nicole was in search of a sports bar with food in order to watch Baker Mayfield and the Browns, and she wandered into The Blue Light. Chris noticed Nicole sitting at the bar, and went over to one of his Dolphin friends sitting near Nicole, trying to think of a way to introduce himself to her. Luckily, in a *totally uncharacteristic* outburst, Nicole started talking trash to Chris's Dolphin friend after she overheard the friend talking about Baker Mayfield. Chris used this opportunity to start chatting with Nicole. The rest, including an epic pop-a-shot victory for Nicole, is history.

Chris wanted to propose in Paris, but because it was smack in the middle of COVID, he had to make alternate arrangements. Chris picked a gorgeous French-inspired winery in Napa for the proposal and flew in Nicole's mom and best friend from Oklahoma, and invited two of their close friends from San Francisco to join in the surprise. Chris arranged a private picnic with champagne, charcuterie, and macaroons at Auberge du Soleil on July 3rd, and Nicole thought they were going to have a fancy lunch and a romantic 4th of July weekend alone. When Chris and Nicole got to the picnic spot, Chris told Nicole that the weekend plans were a little more involved because of "them," and pointed to Sue (Nicole's mom), Sarah, Rachelle, and Michelle walking down to greet them. Nicole greeted everyone--very surprised--and then Chris got on one knee and proposed! Chris had hired a photographer to hide during the proposal and then to take engagement photos immediately after the proposal. After the mini photo shoot, the group went and ate lunch at The Restaurant at Auberge and then went to an Airbnb that Chris had booked that everyone stayed in for the weekend. That night, Chris arranged for a private chef to come and prepare a 5-course meal for everyone at the house. The next day, the group went to a few wineries in the area and celebrated the 4th of July! It was an incredible weekend!

Nicole and Chris tied the knot at an intimate ceremony in Miami, FL on 11 September 2021, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Thank you to everyone who traveled to celebrate this very special day with us! It was truly one of the best days of our lives!
