On August 23, 2025 David and I were both at a birthday dinner for someone we love and I decided to sit at the end of the table by him. (He looked lonely) We talked about sports and even maybe going to the TN/FL game together as friends. I had made it very known to everyone that I had no plans of dating anyone so when he texted me later that night, I was shocked. The following week we talked non-stop. From the time we woke up, to the time we went to bed. Funny thing is it was all just friendly. No flirting! That all changed Thursday, August 28th when we saw each other in person at the Delaware courts. We talked for an hour or longer and something just changed. I looked at him different and I know he looked at me different as well. We were not just friends, we were more! The rest of the night we texted as normal and on Friday, August 29th I mentioned that I was tired and could use some caffeine. Well David decided to shoot his shot and brought me a Coke and a Milky Way (my favorite candy). When he was getting ready to leave, he brought some game and gave me a kiss I will never forget! He was getting ready to leave for a FL game and I was getting ready to leave for the lake house so we said goodbye. That weekend we talked as much as possible but truthfully I could not wait to get back home so I could see him. That Monday when I got home he came over to see me and we have been together ever since. I am beyond blessed. God gave me a man that is calm and kind. He is exactly what I needed in my life when my life was falling apart. We smile together, laugh together, and bring out the best in each other. The moment I thought my life was over is the moment it truly began!
