Our love story began in the workplace (and yes we know how it sounds) but even as colleagues we knew that we had a lot in common. We both attended the same high school- 4 years apart, and both worked at the Kroger in Irmo, SC during different times in our lives and we had mutual friends but our paths never crossed until The UPS Store. Although we knew we had a connection, we didn’t want to compromise our work relationship so we kept it casual. Somewhere in between the deep conversations, falling asleep on the phone and the hysterical laughter, ultimately love won and we made it official on a beautiful beach walk on Folly Beach on August 22, 2021. At first we were not sure how far the relationship would take us, but God has a way of using our pain to give us strength. Though we both endured great losses in our lives, we trusted in God, in each other and in our hearts. On August 22, 2024, on that same beach, Daja asked me for my hand in marriage to commit to waking up each day and growing our faith and love for one another.
