Brandon asked Jamie to be his girlfriend with a lure and tackle box while the two were on a date at Ada Hayden Park.

The easiest YES! Ten minutes before Brandon picked Jamie up for "dinner and a night out with friends" he convinced her that he needed help finding the Treasurers Office inside the Capitol to meet with a client. As most of you know, Jamie is an avid political junkie and the Capitol is one of her favorite places in the world. But true to her lobbyist ways and dedication to remain neutral politically, she quickly changed from wearing her blue dress to a white dress. How fitting! There was not a single "client" in sight, but there was a random group of tourists in the exact location Brandon was planning to propose. While Brandon went on a quest to find his "client", he went straight up to the group of randos and whispered, "YOU HAVE GOT TO MOVE..... I AM PROPOSING IN LITERALLY 10 SECONDS". They moved. & Brandon got down on one knee and proposed in the middle of the Capitol's Rotunda. Brandon would tell you that Jamie was shaking similarly to how he does after an extremely intense day of hunting. Jamie would tell you she does not remember a single word that Brandon said because of the sheer shock and excitement of the moment. Thankfully, the moment was captured in photos and videos that will be forever and ever cherished by the two. There was one thing that went according to plan- dinner. But instead of just a dinner for four, the two walked into a restaurant full of best friends and the best family members to ever exist. Cueing more hugs, kisses, happy tears, and celebrations.
