We're getting married!

Sabrina and Michael’s fathers have been best friends for over a decade. Sabrina and Michael first met on 11/07/2014 at Bern’s Steak House in Tampa. Sabrina decided that she wanted to tag along with her family who were going on a college tour at the University of Tampa (where Michael was studying at the time) for Sabrina’s older sister, Gab. Michael Sr. had asked Michael to take the Locantore’s to dinner after they finished the university tour. There were no conversations struck between Sabrina and Michael at the time, mainly because Sabrina was 14 and Michael was 21. Flash forward eight years; it is 2021, and Sabrina has graduated college. Of course, there was an invitation sent to the Petruccelli family (thank you Tony for allowing Sabrina to throw a celebration bash in the backyard)! Michael got ahold of the graduation party invitation, got a glimpse of Sabrina, and decided to slide into her Instagram DM’s. Numbers were exchanged quickly and the first date was planned. It took Michael a total of five days to ask Sabrina to be his girlfriend. When you know, you know!

Michael and Sabrina went ring shopping in July of 2023. After Sabrina tried on rings and explained to Shelli (shoutout to Yanina & Co. for creating the most perfect ring!) what she wanted, Michael told Sabrina to leave the rest of the ring shopping to him. Obviously, Sabrina didn't oblige! She would proceed to ask Michael every day about the ring until Michael told her that he planned to propose before the end of the year. For Michael’s birthday in September, Michael told Sabrina that both her parents and his parents were going to celebrate with a dinner reservation at River Palm. Sabrina asked to go to De Novo for a frosé first. This threw a wrench in Michael's plans, so he made up a story that he needed to go to Whole Foods first to purchase brussels sprouts for dinner the following night (I mean, Sabrina does love brussels, but why then?!). Michael pulled into the Whole Foods parking lot in Edgewater and drove to the back of the lot where the riverwalk was. This was the same location where Michael and Sabrina had their first kiss. He turned to Sabrina, and said “You know why we are here!” Sabrina and Michael proceed to get out of the car and walk hand in hand down the riverwalk. Michael gets down on one knee and proposes to Sabrina. Just like that, they were engaged! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you all soon!
