Cafe Du Monde French Market

The Original Cafe Du Monde Coffee Stand was established in 1862 in the New Orleans French Market. The Cafe is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It closes only on Christmas Day and on the day an occasional Hurricane passes too close to New Orleans. History and sugar rolled into one.

Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve

A beautiful spot to get out of the city and into the beautiful nature of Louisiana. Expect to see some critters!

Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden

A gorgeous (and free!) outdoor sculpture garden in City Park. While you're there check out Couturie Forest for birds and walks, NOMA for art, and much more.

Cajun Pride Swamp Tours

Take a guided swamp tour with Cajun Pride. We had such a blast on this tour and they will pick up from downtown!

The Avenue Pub

A great spot for a beer with lots of local brews. Get a seat on the balcony to overlook the gorgeous St. Charles avenue.

The Delachaise Wine Bar

A great place to grab a glass of wine with yummy small plates. Our friend, and one of Tom's Groomsmen, Owen works there!

Parkway Bakery & Tavern

THE best roast beef po-boy in the city. Go here for some classic and delicious New Orleans Po-boys.

Frenchmen Street

Want to hear some live music? Frenchmen is a great way to sample some of the music New Orleans has to offer. Grab your go-cup and hop from show to show. Our favourites include Blue Nile and the Spotted Cat. There is also a nice art market.

Couturie Forest

A gorgeous 60 acre park in the middle of City Park. Great for bird watching.

Bourbon Street

No visit to New Orleans is complete without a stroll down Bourbon. If you are going to hang out on Bourbon street we suggest Pat O Brian's piano bar, or Jean Lafitte Blacksmith (The oldest bar in the South). While Bourbon is a riot don't forget there is tons more to see and do!

Royal Street

A great downtown stroll filled with antique shops and street performers.

Magazine Street

A street lined with boutiques and restaurants housed in adorable creole cottages.
