Matron of Honor
Rachel Norfleet Wickham— My honorary sister, best friend, life companion, and guiding light, is one of my matrons of honor. We have been at each other’s sides since meeting in 2001–our boyfriends at the time were friends when we met—-We each broke up with them and then ran away together! Every situation and scenario is improved by having Rachel there. Somehow we make each other laugh no matter the circumstances. I am profoundly grateful for her friendship. I don't know where I'd be without her. Rachel and her husband Jackson are the parents of our handsome ring bearer, Sullivan Jack!
Matron of Honor
The Bride-Or-Die Squadron’s second matron-of-honor is Jen Wanucha, Susan's oldest sister. Jen is so thoughtful, dependable, trustworthy—and annoyingly good at everything she does! Jen is a cherished sister and friend, (she was indispensable in finding The Dress—-she is a bridal consultant at Glitz! Bridal store in Nashville, and was patient, encouraging, and such a good hype-woman through the whole process!!) Jen and her husband Bob are the parents to three of the bride's SIX nieces and nephews: Grace, Nathan, and Emma. *(Lila, Jack, and Margaret are the other three, who are Susan's middle sister Carolyn’s kids, all of whom who deserve a mention in being so loved and dear to the bride! )
Maid of Honor
Beloved artist and friend, Jaime Raybin attended and worked for Watkins college of art and film, (which was later absorbed by Belmont University) where the bride met her through Rachel. Jaime is thoughtful, and has a gentle spirit that is bubbly, light, and playful. Jaime always has quirky twists on things that never fail to amuse and delight, but also possesses a grounded level-headedness that offers good perspective. Jamie is so dear. To know her is to love her. The bride is so grateful she's in her girl squad! She lives in Nashville with her partner and artistic collaborator, David, and their fabulously surly rescue cat, Glitters, who has an amazing instagram you should follow. @itsglittersyall
Bridesmaid
Before finding her own home in Nashville, Briena was roommates with Jaime, and thus first crossed paths with the bride. Briena is a fiber/textiles artist, and high school art teacher whose personal artworks have been featured in shows and galleries across the United States, most recently including the Frist in their "In Her Place" exhibit, showcasing Nashvillian artists! She is featured in an ART BOOK that is FOR SALE in the FRIST GIFT SHOP and we are SUPER PROUD OF HER! Briena shares the bride’s love of heavy music, and is always down to go to metal shows. She is also skilled in garden/renovation projects and owns one of the coolest patios to hang out on i—-complete under the shade of a banana tree! She is a generous and welcoming host along with her partner Chris and their two dogs, Drummer and Pearl. Briena never hesitates to give it to you straight. Laughing with her is some of the best medicine there is.
Best Man
Arriving to Conyers from Richmond, James ignited a musical revolution at his and the groom's middle school - he and Ian would proceed to form metal and indie rock bands throughout high school, subsequently moving to New York City together as Spirit World. Thankfully, he is often more forthcoming with hilarious stories from these formative years than Ian is, or the bride would never have known about things from her humble groom. ;) James is the namesake of Ozzy's middle name. He lived in New York for decades before moving back to Atlanta, where he continues media and brand consultancy work with his company Public Announcement.
Groomsman
Jacob and Ian formed a tight bond as kids soon after Jacob arrived to Conyers from Indiana, over summer vacations and countless sleepovers, bonding over music, comic books and movies. Jacob joined Ian and James in New York City to become band and room-mates, going on to write and perform as a frontman and solo artist while creating and DJ-ing the Motown Mondays party at the 5 Spot for a decade. Jacob is now a top East Nashville realtor, helping Susan and Ian find their first home together near him in Inglewood. He and his wife Molly (who the bride went to high school with) have two fantastic kids, Henry and Sam, classmates and friends of Ozzy and Gio. Jacob is likely the only person at the wedding to have been prominently featured on a billboard.
Groomsman
Shawn is Ian’s brother-in-law, and has been in Ian’s life since he was in high school! Shawn is a collector of all things sci-fi and fantasy, table top games, and bourbon of which he has an encyclopedic knowledge. He is always up for travel, exploring new places, and trying new food. He is married to Ian’s sister, Courtney and the two have two amazing kids, Sophia and Tristan, who are currently attending the University of Georgia.
Groomsman
Christian is the groom’s younger brother. He is a talented engineer, a ping pong champion and formidable at all table top games. He once endured his older siblings acting like they couldn’t see him and speaking as though he had died, pretending he was a ghost for an entire day, for which Ian feels eternally guilty! He and his wife live in Hoboken, NJ with their son, Bo.
Ring Bearer
Sully just turned 7! He is the son of Rachel Norfleet and Jackson Wickham, makes “found footage shorts” on his parents’ cell phones, knows cool mythology stories, and loves going to “The Cheeseburger House” (McDonald’s).
Flower Girl
Rosalie is Rachel’s niece! She loves hiking with her parents and hanging out at her grandparents’ house. She’s an outside girl and is happy to be in a wedding in the woods!
