Our story began with a swipe on Tinder. We matched and talked for months before finally meeting in person on June 8th, 2020. By the time we had our first date, it already felt like we knew each other. We kept it simple with dinner at Applebee's and dessert at Cold Stone, but what we remember most is what came after. We sat in the car for hours talking and did not want the night to end. From the very beginning, there was a sense of comfort, trust, and ease that felt different from anything we had experienced before. From the start, we connected through music, our love for the outdoors, and hiking. We even realized we had mutual connections from high school, even though we went to different schools. It felt like our lives had been crossing paths long before we ever met. Somewhere along the way, it stopped feeling like something new and started feeling like home. We became best friends. The people we turn to first. The ones who make each other laugh, think, grow, and feel understood. In ways we did not fully realize at the time, we began building a life together. We have been side by side through some of life’s biggest moments, from starting our first adult jobs to moving to new places, buying a home, and starting our pet family. We have taken on new adventures, created new memories, and continued growing both as individuals and as a couple. Along the way, we have shared and adopted each other’s interests, from football and reading to video games and even backpacking (once). Each new experience has brought us closer and helped shape the life we are building together. None of it has been perfect, but it has always been real. And it has always been us choosing each other through every season. Looking back, what started as something simple turned into something incredibly meaningful. What we found in each other is more than love. It is friendship, growth, joy, and a partnership that continues to shape who we are every day. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you, and even more excited for everything that comes next.
