Brian & Alisha met online, talked for a few weeks and finally set up a date. The date took place at a restaurant called Table 9. Brian showed up and per usual, Alisha was running a little late. Finally, she arrived, and he walked up the stairs from the waterfront to find a "bouncy, short girl" walking towards him. They then went into the restaurant and found a table on the outside patio where Brian tried to eat un-messy food and Alisha ended up getting a big barbecue sandwich, that got everywhere... lol! They sat for hours talking, getting to know each other's backgrounds & personalities. From there on they started their adventures together, going to Niagra falls, concerts, last minute back packing trips in Hawaii and many more. A year into the relationship Alisha decided she would start travel nursing and Brian decided to drop everything and go with her. They moved out of their houses/apartments into a camper that they lived in all over the country! They traveled for a few years and made memories like hiking, ziplining and sightseeing in Washington, beach trips, sleeping through hurricanes and enjoying delicious drinks in North Carolina, making new friends, cracking lobsters and beach/lighthouse viewing in Maine, snowboarding in Vermont, spending Halloween in Salem, Massachusetts, eating delicious donuts, riding the one wheel & scooter, in North Carolina, sightseeing, hiking, snorkeling and traveling all over Hawaii, snowboarding, camping and living it up in the city in Colorado, to spending time with loved ones in West Virginia & PA. Brian and Alisha didn't realize what sort of life they would start together but the travels and adventures put them through many hard, fun, beautiful and challenging times that brought them very close together!
Brian and Alisha decided to visit family back home in West Virginia, while living in Colorado. Once they got there, they decided to pack up everyone and go to the beach for a good old fashioned beach camping trip! They had such high hopes for waking up to beach sunrises, relaxing in the sand, swimming in the oceans and having peaceful moments with loved ones. Instead, they got sand fleas, wild horses eating their birthday cakes and stealing their beer, sizzling sun burns and exhaustion that lasted weeks after the trip. Despite the unexpected turns on the trip Brian decided to take the next step and turn a disappointing trip home, into one that they would always remember. Once they got back to Alisha's mom house where their camper sat from traveling, he confessed that he was going to propose but the beach trip went to hell in a hand basket. He then got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! She then said of course!
