We met on Facebook. It may sound lame but that’s the truth. We commented on a common status and for some reason my page wouldn’t let him add me so he sent me a private message saying he couldn’t. We spent a lot of time chatting on Facebook messenger, calls and Text. I lived in Boston and he lived in Norwalk, CT. We met about 2-3 months after we first started talking. He came to Boston for New Years and of course he fell asleep and missed the ball drop, for that time frame we spent 3 days together. For about a year and a half we visited each others state a few times every couple of months until I (Alysha) decided to take the leap of faith with my daughter Leiyah who at the time was 7 years old to move to a WHOLE different state and move in with Lloyd. Long-distance relationships are tricky and I was worried we wouldn’t be able to make it. It was like the problems of a relationship was almost immediately evident, but we have survived. It’s been 8 years and counting. We have a lot more to achieve!
