Our story begins in 2006 even before Travis was aware. We met at the table of a card game during the annual middle school band lockdown. Tall, funny, and the long hair toss - how could Lizzy resist developing a crush? Fast forward to 2008. Travis' long hair was long gone, but funny as ever. Lizzy, post-foot surgery, was bound to a wheelchair during the Gull Lake Band Disney trip. Travis somehow was stuck with the task of pushing Lizzy's wheelchair (or was it his ticket to cutting lines with a handicapped person?). He was not the worst person to be paired with despite Travis steering Lizzy away from the highly coveted Dumbo ride. Damsel in distress, tan, and holder of the ticket to the Lightening Lanes - how could Travis not fall for her? Our first kiss was under the fireworks at Magic Kingdom (it's okay to "aww" or gag) and thus began our brief relationship estimated to be about four months ending in a voicemail. We won't say who. Fast forward again to 2020. COVID-19 was just picking up and Travis had begun sending Lord of the Rings memes via Facebook Messenger to Lizzy. Firetrucks. Star Wars legos. High School Musical. Creative pandemic dating. This was the start of our love story. In the whirlwind of the world, our love grew, deepened, and strengthened. Fast forward a little more to 2023. Travis and Lizzy found themselves at Disney World again on a family vacation. During the fireworks at Epcot, Travis asked Lizzy to stand as he got on one knee. We wouldn't be on this website today if Lizzy's answer was not an unwavering, resounding, and wholehearted "yes." Travis, I am sorry I didn't cry, clap, and jump up and down like that Slytherin girl. IYKYK.
