Steph has a pink heart with a rare diamond stone. Steph loves the rich culture of the Middle Eastern people, her sense of humor is infectious. She flawlessly imitates dance moves of African's and Arabic's. Steph has no preference for any music which takes her to a higher realm. I have watched her in our room dance to french songs, belle dancing, Spanish, Indian music etc. I never lacked good meal when we resided together because she is motherly and loving. I was the tatted one, and she was the keeper - a unique being and very organized, don't get it twisted she loved organizing her perfumes, makeup and shoes only. Steph was that lil sister who could never speak out as a young adult over 9 years ago. I took precautionary steps to endeavor her safety when the lions came to roar.

Ada. A

Angel Ada, is a distraction to so many, because she appears to be a Nightingale, with her little cute face as that of goddess. Her angelic voice and the way she laughs cracks me out so much that I do not pay attention to what she says, but laugh at what she talks about. She is my story teller, my dealer on updates in Nigeria, my sister who reveals some underlining issues ladies face and challenges and the struggles of young girls in Nigeria. Ada is very sincere and open minded to discuss certain issues which I have never doubted her honesty. Her style, grace and pose is charming and her heart is huge. I met Ada in 2007 a then student of Umass Boston - I thought I could talk a lot till I met Ada.. One thing I can tell you is that Ada is beautiful, so beautiful inside and out.

Becky. I

Becky is potent. Becky is that sister who calls me out whether I am wrong or right? Becky's sisterhood is like a deep cut, a loving person who always warns about consequences, reminding me to act without emotions. She is that friend who yells my name "Lizzy....." when I say something outrageous or act irrational. We connected few hours after we met in the year 2008 or 2009 in Boston Ma. We happen to grow up and attend pre-school in the same city which connected us more. Our conversations in the past years have been very natural- we share the same views on life and have very similar experiences and culture. Becky is a good listener, at the same time my critique. I always got jealous of her eyebrows and she is very much aware of that. Becky has been important part of my courtship journey.

Ranti. K

Those who know me or go through my phone, might have come across weird and beautiful names I saved valuable people or nincompoops. I have Ranti saved as "Sweet Mini Mushroom" ( lol). Well, this is the best way for her to know how valuable she has been to me. A spiritual sister who throughout our friendship has sacrificed her doings to accommodate me into her life, she has been there through thick and all, a consistent sister for over 6 years. My favorite singer and caretaker. When I had a surgery, she was that lil mushroom who came to visit and care for me innumerable occasions. We have gotten in trouble a lot with our African mama', but we stuck together and overcame all odds. I learned how to be patient being friends with Ranti, her calm spirit, unoffensive ways and respect baffles me.

Esther. D

Maid of Honor

Esther is my gorgeous, nurturing cousin with so much grace and energy. One basic word to describe her is that she is aggressively hardworking. Growing up, Esther was my mini power machine, she chased people away who bullied me, yet I was her older cousin. She was a fighter, a love-able sister, a friend, and a very compassionate being. The first time I ever saw Esther shed tears was when we celebrated her Dad's calling. At a tender age, she picked up the responsibility of taking care of about five kittens and her baby bro even though her mom was there. Her role was valved especially surrounded by boys. Esther and I sang together on several occasions as teens and also have beautiful memories of spending holiday' together. I can't imagine walking down the aisle without her being present.

Wunmi. F

When I first met Wunmi, I thought she was quiet but nah! she isn't at all. Wunmi is a great supporter of everyone and a God fearing young lady, full of wisdom. I was drawn to her because of her level of spirituality. Wunmi' enthralling ways baffles me. She is so inquisitive, so desperate for answers, very impatient and a seeker of opinion. Wunmi is never embarrassed to ask certain questions- private or personal. The kind of bond I have with her is matchless, she has proven herself severally without being checked or observed. I wake up daily, knowing that I have someone who I know will keep my faith stronger in God. Wunmi and I consider ourselves as backup singers towards one another. Wunmi made me shrimps almost daily after my surgical procedures and made sure I had cake yearly on my BDY.

Rachel. D

Few of Rachel's attributes are:- Caring, assertive,honest, responsible, motivated, versatile, a lover of music and God. I met Rachel over 5 years ago, freshly out of College. Rachel and I worked together for over a year. We were a great team, co-workers and then we bounded and became friends. I knew she cared about me when she always rephrased my unfiltered words. I would have gotten Rachel in a lot of trouble but she always applied wisdom whenever we go out. We both love gospel music, share the same values and beliefs and love our heritage. When Rachel knew I was in a relationship, Rachel anticipated marriage and told me she would definitely make it to Nigeria for my wedding. That was a positive statement and today we are about to celebrate me. She envisaged a rich cultural wedding.

Vanessa. O

I hope Vanessa forgives me for using the term "Baby Cousin" lol. Two words to describe her - Savvy and emphatically passionate about her carrier and education. Vanessa has been a lil mom to her two younger bros despite the fact she was always surrounded by her aunts and mom. I watched her as a teen and grew to love her for being so mature and a bibliophile. She is so loving and ambitious. The times I spent with Vanessa in Maryland, I began to understand her prospects, her dreams, plans for the future, her tolerance level towards people and a sassy part I never knew she had, just like me. Couple of years ago, Vanessa was with my phone, I received a text from Tari, she immediately read the message loud and clear, I was embarrassed because I wasn't ready to open up to anyone at the time.

Tenny. A

Teny is my ride and die cousin. Teny is my significant informant or spy whatever I may call it. Teny literally knows almost everything about me, we shared the same room, ate together, hang out, sang, and fought others if I may say etc, My mom often tells her to advise me on some certain things, or passes a message I might not want to pay attention to and literally finds a way to use her as a bond to get to me. Teny is my adorable loving sister, I love with so much passion. Teny knows I hate using my hands in the kitchen (soon about to change), she makes our meals, cleans, I mean she is younger than me and inspires me to want to do better. Teny' world comes to a STOP when I request a favor, I am really blessed to have Teny in my life.

Joanna is a very confident, nurturing,open-minded, passionate sister with a heart of gold. Joanna has made so many countless sacrifices on numerous occasions. We share so many memories which cannot be erased. Joanna is a definition of a strong black woman who is holding a significant position in her job and in my life as a sister. She tolerates me a lot but I find her cocky at times (lol). Her nurturing ways is so consistent because she is a lovable and amicable. One thing that comes to my mind when I think about her, is that she has a beautiful smile.
