We met on Hinge, and Lizzy loved Sam's man bun and kindred obsession with all things environmental and adventurous. Sam was not scared away by the fact that Lizzy collects bones and dead things. And here we are.

By the end of their 3rd date, Lizzy and Sam were quite certain they would forever be in each other's lives. The first date started off strong with a charcuterie lunch where Sam informed Lizzy that he had previously won Second Place as a cheese connoisseur; to which the elegant dear replied "I Eat DiRt". Second date was really just Sam&Lizzy in a nutshell; they sat on a boulder in the middle of a stream and Lizzy wandered about collecting macro invertebrate specimens and other "samples". You see, she had brought specimen jars on their date, because why not? While they sat on their nice boulder (I like that boulder, that's a niice boulder) , they learned more about each other's personal fascination and love of nature. Lizzy knows and loves the animal kingdom, where Sam has so much knowledge and appreciation for aquatic life. Sam's deep love of plants was shared by Lizzy and her love of life within nature. I remember Lizzy saying she'd never talked so easily for such a long time with another person. Their third date makes my heart all mushy and grateful for Sam's caring heart. They went kayaking on Cranberry Lake, Lizzy met sweet little TJ, and Sam brought a homemade gluten-free peach cobbler. Sam told Lizzy he would be going entirely gluten-free to keep her safe and comfortable, no questions asked. In that, Sam showed his selfless nature and true affection for Lizzy, and I knew someone was finally showing up the way Lizzy deserved. And as they say, The Rest Is History.

Under the setting sun and accompanied by the communal roar of lions, situated in a beautiful treehouse in Africa, Sam asked Lizzy to be his wife. Sam set up his phone to "rEcOrD ThE SUnSet" (very clever fellow this one) and Lizzy was Lizzy-ing, so had no clue that he was about to record their proposal. It was a simple question; with pure joy and unconditional love answering. Lizzy and Sam have been together for many lifetimes...Let's join them as they celebrate their marriage in this one!
