We knew who each other were in high school and always followed each other on social media but had never spoken. We finally met through each of our best friends, Dana and Austin who started dating in 2020. We both thought fondly of each other but lived in different cities and were each in long term relationships already. Flash forward to summer of 2022. We were both recently single when Dana convinced Lizzy to come out on the lake with her and Austin because Austin's friends were coming in town from Nashville. The next thing you know, Patrick was making the trip from Nashville to Knoxville every weekend until he soon picked up his life in Nashville and moved back to his hometown to be closer to Lizzy and family. We knew immediately we had found our forever. In the spring of 2023 Pat popped the question and just when we thought it was time to start planning our wedding, God had a better plan... Davis Everett entered the group chat! Wedding planning got put on the back burner as we prepared to welcome our baby in January of 2024. We were supposed to go to the court house to elope the day that Davis was born but once again, God had a different plan. We ended up eloping on February 13th, 2024 and spent our first year of marriage learning so much about who we are as a husband and wife but also as parents. We survived sleepless nights with a newborn, bought our first house together, adjusted to career changes, and only continue to love each other more through it all. We feel so blessed by the on-going love and support by our friends and family and feel so happy to finally be in this season of life that we just couldn't skip over. It might be a little out of order but we've leaned on knowing this is all part of God's plan for us and it's been so much better than anything we could've planned for ourselves. We trust that God will continue to guide our journey as husband, wife, Mom and Dad. Every one of you have been such a huge part of our story and we feel so incredibly blessed by the love and support we've received and can't wait to celebrate with you in May!! Love, Lizzy and Patrick
