FAQs

The Wedding Website of Lizzy Feldman and Brett Harwell
Have questions? We have answers! If the answer you are looking for is not here, please reach out to Lizzy or Brett!
Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

No. When Lizzy's students found out about this, they said "But you spend all day with kids! Don't you want them at your wedding?" Lizzy responded, "I don't want kids at my wedding BECAUSE I spend all day with them!" If you need childcare during the wedding, we've arranged for a babysitting service to be available at the hotel. Please reach out to Lizzy or Brett to find out more

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, the dress code is Black Tie optional. Basically, men, wear a tux or a dark suit. Women, wear either a cocktail length dress, or a full length black tie dress- whichever you're feeling more! As long as you come ready to dance, you're properly attired.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

YES! And it's FREE! Use the parking lot at 100 International Drive, and the promo code "NEWLYWED". Follow the directions on the "Travel" section of the website!

Question

Why are there so many parts to your wedding? Do I have to be there for all of them?

Answer

Great question! A Jewish wedding often has several parts that are not in a typical, non-denominational wedding. For example, the Tisch/Bedeken is basically a structured pregame. Brett will be hanging with guests as they arrive, and Lizzy will be singing raucously loudly, and also attempting to teach some Torah. Feel free to arrive anytime between 6:30-7:15 in order to participate in however much you want!

Question

What if I want to know more about a Jewish Wedding?

Answer

We got your covered! Lizzy made a powerpoint! Copy and paste the link into a new tab! https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1i4S-J-WCdlX1EzvxuEUJG72oAgsXEU860Iafeji3FJM/edit?usp=sharing

Question

I'm Shomer Shabbat! Will I be able to participate fully?

Answer

If you don't know what "Shomer Shabbat" means, this question is not for you. Otherwise, yes- all Shomer Shabbat needs will be accommodated. We recommend requesting a lower floor, since all Shabbat events will be on the 5th floor. Please reach out to Lizzy or Brett (probably Lizzy though) for more specifics.
