We were both out for a day of NFL Playoffs. The games ended and we both found ourselves at Shore Club in Pacific Beach. As the sun set and the story goes, Ted was patiently waiting under a patio heater as he knows "all women are always cold". The trap worked and eventually Lizzie found herself amazed that the universe brought her a country music loving Giants fan. We spent the whole night together. And then the next three nights. And then the next five years.

After spending Thanksgiving in Temecula we went for a hike at one of our favorite spots in Julian, CA. That week was the first snowfall of the season which made for some truly amazing views. As we were on our way back down the mountain Teddy popped a knee right there in the snow! We celebrated with a cold beer next to a wood burning stove at our favorite Julian Brewery, Nickel Brewing Company. Later that evening we went to grab a quick Old Fashioned at Whiskey House before our supposed "dinner reservation" where Teddy invited some of our closest friends for a surprise engagement party.
