Since we are hosting a spring wedding, we'd like everyone to dress in their best spring attire. This does NOT mean you can't wear a normal black tux or suit, however we'd like to see our loved ones looking like a beautiful flower garden while we say our vows. Spring pastel colors are great, but not too bright (we don't want to see a highlighter in the garden). Also, floral prints are great as long as it isn't too white! Please feel free to text a photo to the bride or groom if you're not sure if your outfit is "wedding safe."
Sort of! We are using a deal called a "consumption package." With this package, we will be fronting "x" amount of money towards drinks and once that amount has been depleted, the bar will turn cash-only. Therefore, the open bar is only truly open for a certain amount of time until our package has been fully consumed. If you're a heavy drinker or like to get your relax on during a wedding, please bring cash so all our guests can enjoy a few drinks on the house.
Sometimes! After speaking with our DJ company, it sounds like any requests will be considered and followed through ONLY if it passes the vibe-check.
Good question! I'm hungry, too. We have selected a few different options that will be in a buffet style, including two main entrees, 3 side dishes, a salad, and rolls with butter. Entrees: Boneless Chicken Breast in a White Wine Cream sauce OR Pork Steaks Side Dishes: Cheese Tortellini in White Sauce, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Southern Green Beans Salad: St. Louis Style Italian
That depends... If your wedding invite says "and Family" or includes the names of your child(ren) then of course! However, we'd kindly ask that any children stay home, if possible. If this is NOT possible, please contact the bride or groom so we can decide how to move forward together!
Our caterer will accommodate any guests with food allergies for an additional cost. It is vital that you request an accommodated meal early so we can communicate with the caterer and get you taken care of. We all have a picky eater we're thinking of! Our caterer has kids meals with chicken fingers and fries upon request, but we must know in advance to accommodate for those meals.
Since it's the best for the environment, definitely carpool! However, our venue says the parking lot can fit 100 cars comfortably.
That is currently under review. There is talks of a bridal or wedding shower, but in the event that does not come through, there will always be a gift table ready to go at the venue for the reception. We will also have a "tip jar" for our honeymoon fund if you're a cash gift kinda person! If you're looking for gift inspiration, we have a couple registries on our website under the "Registry" tab. We are just getting started together, but have been individuals for awhile, so many kitchen and household items aren't exactly a need, but will be warmly welcomed regardless. The bride especially would find it near and dear to have personalized items, such as "Hedgpeth" home and porch decor.
