Question
Do I need to rent a car?
Answer
If you are joining for our pre and post day tours, you do not! You will be picked up and dropped off in Reykjavik. If you would like to rent a car afterward to further explore Iceland, there are several spots in Reykjavik to do so (that is what Lizzie and George are doing). If you are not joining the optional tours, you will need to rent your own vehicle to get to and from the hotel, as public transportation in the area is limited.
Question
What will the weather be like? What should I wear?
Answer
Icelandic weather can be unpredictable (you can have hail, snow, rain, sun, wind and hail within a day) so please bring some layers, and when in doubt, pack an extra layer. Icelandic terrain is a mix of rocks, lava, sand, gravel and ice and not exactly high heel friendly. Definitely make sure that you bring a waterproof (not just water-resistant) layer, just in case!

When should we arrive in Iceland?
Answer
Our first event will be a welcome dinner on 10/9/24, and the ceremony will be on 10/10/24. We recommend arriving a day or two early to get used to the time change. Iceland also makes a great stopover on the way to or from Europe for other travels.

Please do not feel obligated to get anything - we appreciate the effort and expense of getting to our wedding in Iceland! Additionally, here is a note from our wedding planners, Pink Iceland: "Throughout the years we have had many family members and friends of couples reach out to Pink Iceland Planners wanting to somehow surprise or delight the happy couple. This usually involves a contribution of some sort paying for example for food or drink, an excursion or experience, a honeymoon surprise or a subsidy towards other parts of the wedding or something completely different. It won’t be a surprise if you know - and we won’t tell you but this is your cue to make sure your friends and family know that you’re working with us and that they can reach out if they want to surprise you in some way."
