We're getting married!

In the evening of a blizzard in January 2016, after a full day of watching Game of Thrones in her tiny apartment, Lizzie decided to download Tinder. That night, she came across a cute Penn alum who was only a mile away. She swiped right and it was a match! The first date was "just drinks" at Poco in Alphabet City. After 3 jalapeno margaritas each (no dinner) and a recounting of all of the inner workings of the Game of Thrones books, the night was a success (from what we remember). It was a perfect pairing - Lizzie talked and Dan listened :) A few hundred dates (and 1.5 years) later, frequenting all of the best Italian and ramen places in the East Village and Alphabet City, Dan and his co-founders got into Y Combinator and decided to move out to the Bay Area "just for the summer." Lizzie spent the summer of 2017 living in the West Village and enjoying what she didn't know would be her last one in NYC. When Dan came back, Lizzie threw him a surprise party but the surprise was actually on her - we were both moving to SF! Which we did in Oct 2017! Since then, we reconnected with incredible friends, explored beautiful west coast sights, and adopted a puppy! After moving apartments and living here for just over 2 years, we got engaged in Dec 2019 in Napa with friends and a busload of older people who were not interested in our antics at all. And now it's time for us to get married...in June 2021! Well, that was the original plan. But in June 2020, we decided to proactively postpone our wedding to June 2022 and moved back to NYC to be closer to our families. We're still so excited to share this moment with our family and friends and show them the great scenery (and wines!) in SF and Sonoma. See you in '22!
