2014 was a big year for Lizzie, graduating college, moving to Columbus, starting a new job and meeting the love of her life. In September, Lizzie decided to join the local CrossFit gym where her sister and brother-in-law (and Beau) were members. One day Beau noticed a cute new girl at the gym and hoped she noticed him too (she did not, she was too busy trying to not hit herself with a barbell). In December, their gym hosted a PJ Christmas party. Beau spotted Lizzie at the party wearing a red sock monkey onesie sitting at a table with her family and friends. Beau made his way over to the table to say hi to the people he already knew. Beau started talking to Lizzie’s brother-in-law when they were interrupted by a loud comment Lizzie made and were introduced. Over the next month, Beau and Lizzie would chat at CrossFit until they finally exchanged numbers. At the end of January, Beau asked Lizzie out! He took her to Philco in the Short North followed by a walk in Goodale Park and ended in a cozy corner chatting in a coffee shop. Over the next three and a half years, their relationship continued to grow: moving into a quaint little apartment together in Grandview, getting their beloved dog, and having their careers take off. On June 23, 2018, after a nice dinner at G Michaels in German Village, Beau took Lizzie to Schiller park. They walked around the park for a bit and sat down on a bench, reminiscent of their very first date. There Beau proposed to Lizzie! Lizzie and Beau are excited to continue their journey together and start a new chapter as husband and wife.
