Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive around 5:30 pm to ensure a ceremony start time of 5:35 pm. We will hold the ceremony in Horticulture Hall, and will not be allow entrants after the 5:35 pm start time. Late arrivals can join us after the ceremony for cocktail hour around 6 pm.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We suggest wearing cocktail attire, but feel free to wear anything that makes you feel comfortable (and ready to dance!)

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The Conservatory has a free visitor parking lot with designated accessible parking spots located in the northeast corner. There are paved pathways from the parking lot to the building entrance, as well as ramps and a push button automated door.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Visit our "Travel" page on the website for two hotel options with discounted rates. Our wedding overlaps with a popular oncology conference in the city, so rates are higher than normal, and we were not able to secure a hotel block in the city (but do have a block at a hotel in a nearby suburb)! Airbnb, VRBO, or other short-term rental sites are other great resources to find more affordable places to stay for the weekend!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be transportation offered to and from the venue and Carleton Hotel in Oak Park. See shuttle pick-up and drop-off times on the "Schedule" page.

Please refer to your RSVP for the number of people invited in your party. Due to space constraints at the venue, we are unfortunately not able to accommodate additional guests.
