They both ended up in Tallahassee by different paths, but it didn’t take long for their worlds to collide. Carson, originally from South Carolina, had moved here for work as an athletic trainer. Liz, a Mexico City native, relocated from Salt Lake City, Utah to pursue a nursing career. Their first interaction was at Tallahassee Orthopedic clinic where Liz shadowed Carson to get familiar with the new job's responsibilities. Shortly after Liz had accepted the position at TOC they worked alongside each other as clinical "floats" for a year. They eventually started hanging out outside of work with other coworkers and planning trips to explore Tallahassee. As they spent more time together, something shifted. One memorable trip to Providence Canyon ended in a rainstorm soaked from head to toe, but it was filled with laughter and good times. Despite the chaos, Liz had no idea that Carson’s feelings were growing deeper. The turning point possibly came when Liz asked Carson to show her some of the bike trails around town. He took her on a 21-mile mountain bike ride, pushing her limits of skill and endurance, all the while cultivating a bond of love and friendship. Liz soon began to grow a sense of ease and trust with Carson, which deepened as they continued to spend more time together. Eventually, Carson joined her Crossfit gym, and Liz began riding bikes more often. Through all the adventures, laughter, and challenges, it became clear to both Liz and Carson that this was something special. They’re excited to continue this journey, with all of its ups and downs, together forever.
