Yale University is a magical place! If you ever get the chance to visit the campus you will know what that means. Many people often wonder to themselves if they are at the fantastic Hogwarts when roaming the halls and sidewalks. There are not many institutions like it in the world. Anybody who has ever been in love also knows that there is an added sense of that fantastic magic over every part of your life when you find that you are with the beloved. The world could be split in two and in that moment, you may not even notice. There is truly nothing like that in the world, is there? When we moved to New Haven to study at Yale, we hadn't yet known each other. There was trepidation and anxiety in both our lives concerning the reality of present circumstances and the search for something greater after school was over (who can relate?). Though we may have considered ourselves on different points of the path, God was present and was setting us on the same path. We joined school in the same year, which is a miracle of its own merit considering the unlikeliness of it entirely. The chances for either of us going to another school and therefore not attending Yale were considerable, and some may say that it was "fate" or "chance" that we attended; you decide! Being in the same studio, we often found ourselves playing trumpet together. In fact, the first concert of our first year was Stravinsky's "Firebird Suite" and guess who sat side-by-side to one another? You guessed it - we did! We always found some way to listen to each other somehow, and we still do today! As our bond grew, so did our love for one another. Something we still say to each other today is "I love you more than yesterday but not as much as tomorrow!" She got a job at the local coffee shop and he would always come and visit her. She would slip him free coffee and he would pretend to work on something music related, but secretly he would always find some reason to strike up a conversation with her whenever she wasn't busy cleaning the coffee pots or serving another iced drink. Day after day it would be the same story; a late night walk home after the last shift to make sure she was safe, only a look of gallantry to part ways. Things are much different now. After school ended we were still dating but apart from each other, which was difficult. We visited each other as often as we could, but we wanted to be together forever. Anthony took Lizbeth to a beautiful field in the countryside on one of his visits and asked her for her hand in marriage, presented the ring, and she said yes! Now we are ever so closer to the next chapter in our story - together forever!
