Change in Plans

We're so bummed but we have to postpone our wedding celebration with our extended friends and family. We will still get married with immediate family on October 10th and will let you know when we can reschedule. In the meantime, practice your dance moves!

Our Story

TL;DR We Met on a Boat and Now We're Getting Married

Will and Liz met on October 1, 2017 on the deck of a boat. He quickly wowed her with his facts about the Boston islands and she charmed him with her excitement for New England cuisine. They quickly discovered that they their paths had crossed many times before and they just kept missing each other. Will and Liz both lived in Dublin 10 years before they met. Will worked at a school and lived north of the city while Liz studied at UCD and lived south of the city. They both kissed the Blarney Stone weeks apart, and have the photos to prove it! They also lived outside DC at the same time from 2012-2014, just a couple miles apart. Not only did they live in the same city twice, but they both took a cross country road trips, stopping at some of the same places, including Four Corners in the SW. By the time they met on that ferry, they were shocked about how much they had in common. They discussed growing up in Irish Catholic families and their love of National Parks. Their first dates were spent exploring museums, Will impressing Liz with his candlepin bowling skills, and Liz explaining to Will what makes a good burger. By the time they moved in together, they were happily cooking dinners for each other and spending weekend mornings watching Phantom Gourmet. Even Liz’s cat approved of Will and they quickly became best buds. Will and Liz have enjoyed traveling to fun places like Aruba and Canada. They were able to attend their siblings’ weddings and loved meeting each other’s families. They have a great group of friends in Boston they like trying new restaurants with. They recently found the immense joys of being an Aunt and Uncle to their niece and nephew. Will proposed on October 19, 2019 in Acadia National Park with Liz’s maternal Grandmother's engagement ring. Will said a bunch of really nice things that Liz doesn’t remember and Liz said ‘Holy Shit!’ before saying yes! They are excited to get married and embark on this new adventure as husband and wife!
