We accidentally met through a mutual friend during a party in Vince's basement when his parents were away. That night, Vince gave his guests a tour of his home and proudly highlighted his and his dad's prized "Star Wars room" - that’s pretty much when Liz thought to herself, "Okay, this guy is such a nerd, I love it. This could be something." The next day, the two reconnected and planned their first date and the rest is history!

Nearly five years after the date the pair met, they planned a vacation with their families to Liz's dad's hometown in Paola, Italy. Little did they know, they were simultaneously planning huge milestone events for the same weekend. Vince turned 30 on August 19th, 2023 and Liz wanted to make his birthday super special. That weekend, she booked a place to stay in the gorgeous coastal city of Tropea along with a boat tour. Meanwhile, Vince and Liz's parents were scouring all of Paola for a perfect proposal spot. When Vince caught drift of his birthday weekend in Tropea and Googled the destination, he immediately decided that that's when he would do it. On the evening of his birthday after a boozey boat tour, the group of twelve scaled the rocky path to Santuario Maria Dell'Isola. Vince took Liz for a private walk to a hidden spot over the church walls, professed his undying love for his long-time girlfriend, and knelt down on one knee while the sun began to descend behind him. Liz was so taken aback, she couldn't help but burst out into the happiest of tears. Their families and friends cheered behind them and celebrated their first moment as fiances! Needless to say, the pair and their families celebrated the two milestone events that evening; Vince's 30th birthday and the engagement. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
