The Coachella Valley consists of a chain of interconnected cities, including Palm Desert (ceremony) and Rancho Mirage (reception). Just know that whenever we say "the desert," we are referring to any of the cities in the Valley.
Our recommendation is to fly into Palm Springs Airport (PSP). There are minimal direct flights in to PSP, so expect a connecting flight. If you're looking to spend more time in California, the best options are Los Angeles (LAX) or San Diego (SAN). You'll need to rent a car to get to the desert, it's about a 2 hour drive from either airport. If you need recommendations for LA, text us!
Great question! Palm Springs' famous Pride Parade falls on the same weekend as the wedding. Feel free to check out the festivities, but know that it will be very crowded with visitors coming in from all around. If you're booking an Airbnb, or a hotel that is not Hotel Paseo, make sure you are searching for accommodations in Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage or Indian Wells to avoid the crowds.
It's up to you! It's very easy and convenient to use Uber and Lyft to get around. If you plan to stay in the Palm Desert area, this is our recommendation. If you're looking to leave the Palm Desert area and check out Joshua Tree National Park or other surrounding locations, it makes sense to rent a car. There are many rental options at PSP, LAX and SAN.
At the Living Desert Zoo & Gardens, enter the parking lot and make an immediate left. Park in front of the Chase Administration building. Let the parking attendants know you are here for the Becker Wedding on the Chase Patio. For the reception, there will be valet parking at the Becker House. At the Thunderbird Heights Estates gate, tell them you are heading to 70248 Calico Rd.
Our reception will take place at the Beckers' home in Thunderbird Heights in Rancho Mirage. This is not your average backyard wedding. Get excited!
