“We tied the knot!”

We met in the summer of 2022 at a pool party at Lee Harvey’s. Neither of us had planned to go, but sometimes the best things happen when you least expect them. When Liz walked in, a few friends called out her name, and Tabs looked up and that was the moment everything changed. What followed was a slow burn of getting to know each other. Tabs liked Liz first, but Liz was the first to fall in love. It wasn’t until Tabs went to a friend’s wedding without Liz that it all became clear. Watching two people promise each other forever made Tabs realize that Liz was her forever, too. People often tell us that we balance each other perfectly and just make sense together. We like to think they’re right. And here’s a funny detail about when we first met: Tabs, being naturally shy and never one to make assumptions, didn’t realize Liz was flirting with her. Liz had to tell her (very directly) that she was. That honesty, lack of assumption and straightforwardness would become the foundation with which their relationship was built on.
