Our Wedding Ceremony

4:45 pm - 5:30 pm

Formal attire: Wear floor-length gowns or formal cocktail dresses, tuxes or suites with black neckties or bowties.

The Church doors will be open for guest to begin arriving at 3:00pm. The Church doors will close promotly at 4:40pm. So make plans to arrive early. Turn your cell phones off! Cell phones are a distraction for you, those around you, and wedding party. We will have a full camera crew for photos and videos to capture the ceremony. Sax and Liz will post final pictures on the wedding website for all guest to be able to see and enjoy.

Cocktail Hour

5:45 pm - 7:00 pm

The Cabana at Wilmington Plantation Events

The cocktail hour will be centered around the pool and Cabana at Wilmington Plantations. This area is the perfect place to watch the sunset and have a drink. We will also be serving a variety of heavy and light passed hors d'oeuvres.

Let's Celebrate the union of Mr. and Mrs. Craig Richard Saxton. We will move from the Cabana to the Ballroom to eat, dance, and celebrate together. The reception is catered by Savannah Event Catering featuring 4 stations throughout the ballroom area and two outdoor areas. In honor of Dr. and Mrs. Saxton, the reception features The Sapphire Bullets of Pure Love. The 15 member band covers classic party music favorites with a big band sound. Dr. Saxton is a former band member that played Baritone Saxophone. History of the grounds: Originally built in 1927 with Al Capone's money & side-kick Bugsy Siegel the property was the “The Oglethorpe Hotel”. The grounds include hidden underground tunnels, a helicopter pad, and multiple basements, this gem is still considered one of Savannah's treasured landmarks overlooking the Intracoastal waterway.
