How can I get from my hotel to and from the ceremony/reception?

Answer

We recommend carpooling when possible or using ride-share services. The Minneapolis area has pretty good availability for both Uber and Lyft. The American Swedish Institute is also accessible via public transportation from downtown via Routes 5 or 11.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The American Swedish Institute has a free parking lot that will be available for your use. Overnight parking is permitted, as long as vehicles are removed before the museum opens the next day - 10:00am on Sunday.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests should arrive at 4:30pm on the 16th. We will be starting the ceremony promptly.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Festive Formal. Sharp suiting and dresses of all lengths are welcome - and don't be afraid to get creative. Sequined jacket? Feather-adorned jumpsuit? Metallics, glitter, funky textures and prints? Now is the time to bring it out of your closet. This couple loves to dress up and go out so we'd love for you to join in on the fun. Not feeling like getting weird with it? Do I need the tickets/invitations to attend?

Answer

No. The ticket-style invitation is not required for entry - we know who you are and that you've been invited to celebrate with us. Think of it as a keepsake and a hint at what's to come.

Those Save the Dates/Invitations are so cool! Who designed them?

Answer

We worked with Tommy at The Medium Control, based out of Duluth, MN on the design of our Save the Dates and invitations. Liz has been a fan of The Medium Control's work in music, film, and graphic design since she stopped by their studio and retail space when she lived in Duluth. Unless your child is specifically invited, we respectfully request that you do not bring your children, no matter how cute or well behaved they may be. Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

While our welcome party, rehearsal dinner, and family brunch are by invitation only, we encourage all guests to make a trip out of our wedding weekend if possible to enjoy the many things we love about Minneapolis.
