FAQs

If you have any other questions beyond what we've listed here, please reach out to our wedding planner, Kara, at lovethisdayevents@gmail.com.
Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do! But we want our wedding to be your night off. You're welcome to bring your kids on the trip with you, and the Aspen Babysitting Company is a great option for the evening of the wedding. www.aspenbabysittingcompany.com

Question

Is transportation to/from the wedding provided?

Answer

Yes! Transportation will pick up and drop off at the Limelight Hotel Snowmass, so if you're staying elsewhere, you'll want to make your way to the hotel for the shuttle (leaving at 4:15pm sharp on Saturday afternoon!). If you are staying at the Westin, you can walk to the Limelight hotel from there, or the hotel will likely drop you in front of the Limelight if you ask. There is limited parking at the event venue itself.

Question

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

T Lazy 7 Ranch - an amazing venue with stunning views! The ceremony will take place in a meadow against a backdrop of Aspen's most impressive peaks, and the reception will take place in a lodge on the property (about a 5-7 minute walk from the meadow).

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invite says "and Guest," then yes, but if not, we think you're magnificent enough on your own.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire, please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose. No need to pack your tux for this event! We like fancy, but not that fancy ;) Keep in mind the ceremony will take place in a grass meadow, so stilettos might have you aerating the lawn...

Question

What else should I pack for the trip?

Answer

We HIGHLY encourage you to take advantage of the many outdoor adventures the mountains have to offer. Pack some athletic shoes and clothes to take a hike! Pack a bathing suit to enjoy a pool or hot springs! The mountains are a casual place, and jeans are formal enough for just about anywhere (well...except for our wedding). Mountain weather is funny - temperatures can vary 30+ degrees in a day, so early in the morning or after the sun sets, you'll likely want a jacket or sweatshirt. Sunscreen is also a must-have while out here.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Ah, yes, you've noticed we're not registered anywhere other than the items you'll see on the 'Registry' page of our site. That's because we're grateful and fortunate to have most everything we could need! THE greatest gift you can give us is to spend our wedding weekend with us in Aspen/Snowmass! But if you insist, we've got some options ;) We would also graciously accept donations on our behalf to any of the following charities in place of any gifts: Cycle for Survival | www.cycleforsurvival.org Protect Our Winters | https://protectourwinters.org/join-pow/

Question

Is there public transportation in the area?

Answer

YES! The Roaring Fork Transit Authority (RFTA) has an awesome bus system that makes is so easy to get anywhere in the valley. There is a stop outside the airport, in Snowmass Village, in downtown Aspen, and many more. Fares range from $1-$5 per ride depending on distance.
