Liz and Matt met on Hinge at the beginning of the pandemic and immediately bonded over their love of Schitt's Creek and charcuterie boards. After several weeks, Matt worked up the courage to ask Liz on their first date — a "socially distant" picnic in Chelsea, which of course, included a charcuterie board. While Matt didn't realize he was getting a package deal, he quickly fell in love with Liz's chaotic, but loveable cats — Cheeto and Frito. They moved to Brooklyn in 2021, got engaged a few months later and the rest is history.
