It all began at a Jeep dealership—not exactly the most romantic setting, but somehow, it worked. Liz had just bought a brand new Jeep and brought it in for service, already frustrated with it. Matt happened to be the (very cute) guy helping her out that day, and he got an earful about the car. Liz immediately texted her sister: “There’s a cute guy helping me at the dealership.” Matt gave her his number so she could send videos of the issues—strictly professional, of course. A week later, with more Jeep problems (shocker), Liz texted him again. This time, she asked for a ride home. In just a short time, they’ve weathered a lot: job changes, cancer diagnoses, a layoff, and the unexpected challenges life threw their way. But through it all, they leaned on each other, grew stronger, and built a life full of love, laughter, grit—and a very good dog named Ted.
