Question

Wanting to attend the wedding but have concerns about Coronavirus?

Answer

Well, we have concerns too! Here in Texas, we have watched the state become the front line to new cases early on but we have also watched as Texas has adapted to a life of safety and preventative measures. We want you here to share this celebration with us so we will be taking the following measures to help ensure your safety and comfort: 1. Our ceremony will be performed outside with family units grouped together and spaced apart from other family units. The ceremony should not last more than 15 minutes. 2. The tables inside will be spaced farther apart than usual and family units will sit together. 3. Face coverings will be required inside if not eating or drinking as per state mandate. 4. Hand sanitizer will be stationed throughout the venue. 5. Guests should maintain physical distancing of 6ft with those outside their family unit. 6. We are working closely with all of our vendors to ensure PPE is utilized and precautionary measures will be maintained throughout the event.

Question

Too far to drive and worried about air travel?

Answer

We understand that getting here to Texas can be a concern for you as well. Not all airlines are taking equal measures of protection. We personally highly recommend travelling by Southwest Airlines. We used Southwest when we flew to Colorado in July and we were both very impressed with all they do to combat the spread of the virus. Planes are cleaned after every flight; flight attendants are wearing PPE. Masks are of course required on all flights but Southwest is also not allowing anyone to sit in the middle seat of any row and most flights are not full which means there are always empty seats around you. Also, Southwest Airlines recycles their cabin air with fresh air every 2 to 3 minutes. The airports also typically have less people in them these days and social distancing and masks are being enforced. Not to mention flights are cheaper than ever right now and Southwest flies direct to our closest airport, William P Hobby (HOU).

Question

Still not sure?

Answer

We hope to see you here. We want to see you here. But we understand if you feel like you can’t make it at this time. One’s own personal safety is one’s own personal choice. Your reasons for not being able to make it or reasons for feeling like the preventative measures are not enough to offset the risk to your health are your own. We will certainly not think less of anyone who decides they won’t be able to come. We will however do whatever we can to help you be more comfortable in coming. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have further questions or concerns! We love you all and hope to see you on October 10, 2020! LIZ & KENT
