Question

Wait, aren't you guys already married?

Answer

Yes! We are married civilly. However, we are happy to share that Jose received his sacraments in April 2026. This ceremony in Ayutla is our official Religious Wedding (Nuestra Boda Religiosa) where we will receive the Sacrament of Marriage. It will be a small friends and family celebration, and we can’t wait to share this moment with you!

Question

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

We are so excited to host our wedding in Ayutla, Jalisco. This beautiful town holds a very special place in our hearts, as it is where Liz was raised and where her family is from. We can’t wait for you to experience the charm of her hometown!

Question

Is there a Post-Wedding Trip to a resort?

Answer

Following the wedding festivities, we are planning a group vacation in a resort in Puerto Vallarta! This is an open invitation, as we would love to have our favorite people join us for a few extra days of fun and relaxation!

Question

What airports can I fly into?

Answer

Airport 1: Guadalajara (GDL) Distance to Ayutla: ~93 miles (2.5–3 hours) Best for: Arriving for the wedding. Airport 2: Puerto Vallarta (PVR) Distance to Ayutla: ~115 miles (3.5–4 hours) Best for: Heading home if you are joining us for the resort stay.

Answer

Flight Estimates (NYC to Jalisco) To GDL: ~$350 – $550 USD (Check Volaris or Aeromexico from JFK/EWR). To PVR: ~$375 – $600 USD (United and JetBlue often have direct/one-stop options).

Question

Why is the wedding on a Tuesday?

Answer

While Mexican weddings are traditionally held on weekends, we couldn't pass up the chance to get married on August 24th, our anniversary 8/24 (Mamba Day). We are so excited to keep this special date!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Expect tropical, spring-like weather with highs around 80°F and lows near 60°F. Since August is the rainy season, short afternoon showers are common but rain or shine, the celebration goes on!
