We both met when we were in high school. Jonathan was only 16 and I was 15. Wow! It almost feels surreal typing that out. We were both recently single, living life & doing teenager things such as sneaking out to high school parties with our friends. Well one day back in January 2010, we both met at a mutual friends birthday party and it was there…in the middle of a living room, turned into dance floor, with music blasting, when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I was dancing with my girlfriends, I turned and saw Jonathan who then proceeded to ask, “want to dance?” I said “no thank you”…just kidding. I said yes haha. I’ll spare you the details of what type of dancing it was ;) but if you come to the wedding, you’ll find out what our official “first dance” was back in 2010. Anyway, after we danced, Jonathan proceeded to ask for my number, however, back then I didn’t even have a cellphone so I told him to add me on MYSPACE. I know…myspace..it was still “in” back then. We continued to talk and hangout for months to come until he asked me to be his girlfriend at another party that took place on April 9, 2010. That date marks our “official” established date as a couple. It has been 11 years since...and on the day of our wedding it will be 12 years together. Never did we both imagine that we would end up together for this many years when we first met, but we both agree it was the easiest and best thing that ever happened to us. We are grateful for all the time, experiences and love we have shared for many years and are excited to continue on this journey with the next step in our story…our wedding. Hope to see you there!
