Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will be held outdoors in front of a willow tree (weather permitting), and our cocktail hour and reception will be held indoors. Guests will walk primarily on a brick pathway, but will need to step on grass when taking their seats for the ceremony. For that reason, stiletto or otherwise-thin heels aren't recommended.

What's the wedding dress code?

Answer

We kindly request formal attire for our celebration. Guests are encouraged to dress in elegant, elevated styles appropriate for an evening event. For women, this may include floor-length gowns, midi or cocktail dresses, or dressy jumpsuits. For men, suits with dress shirts and ties are preferred. Our wedding will feature a darker, more muted fall color palette. Guests are welcome to complement this aesthetic with rich, subdued tones such as deep greens, burgundy, navy, charcoal, or other autumn-inspired hues.

Are children allowed to attend?

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be limited to specific children closely related to the bride and groom.

Are plus-ones allowed?

Answer

While we would love to include everyone, we are only able to offer plus ones to select guests. Your invitation will indicate if a plus one has been reserved for you.

Where's the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Both ceremony and reception will be hosted at The Farmhouse, located at 5600 Old Capitol Trl, Wilmington, DE 19808.

Are there accommodations near the venue or hotel room blocks?

Answer

Absolutely! There are multiple hotel options within a 10 minute drive of the venue, and we also have a room block and shuttle service with the Hilton Wilmington/Christiana. All information about the room block and shuttle service is located in the "Travel" section of the website.

What should I do if I don't make it into the room block?

Answer

If you miss the deadline to reserve a room in our block, reach out to the hotel and mention our wedding anyway—they may be able to accommodate you with our discount in a room outside of our block. If not, you can find additional nearby accommodations on our travel page.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There'll be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout the cocktail hour and reception, however, we do recommend bringing cash or a credit card along if you plan to attend the after-party, as drinks after the reception won't be covered.

What's the wedding itinerary?

Our wedding will take place at The Farmhouse on October 23rd, 2026. The ceremony will begin at 4:30pm sharp, followed by cocktail hour and the reception, which is anticipated to conclude around 10pm.

What time should I arrive by for your wedding ceremony?

Answer

The doors to the venue will open half an hour ahead of our ceremony time at 4:00pm. We recommend arriving at the ceremony venue at least 15 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time to ensure you have enough time to walk to the ceremony space from the parking lot and find a seat.
