ELIZABETH AND DAVID

THE PROPOSAL

It's been said, the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.... Dave made plans to wrap Liz's engagement ring, place it under the tree and have her open it on Christmas day. Unfortunately, Liz (unknowingly) took all the wrapping paper and gave it to her mother to wrap presents for her brother and his family. Dave called Liz to complain. She was shocked at his reaction over something so trivial. Dave ended the call with the statement "Stop ruining my plans". David was able to secure wrapping paper from his aunt and began enacting Plan B. After Christmas dinner (with the whole family present), Dave requested Liz bring all of the presents from the Christmas tree. She was told there was one more present "in" the tree. After looking for a few minutes, she found the ring-shaped box in the lower branches of the tree. The small box was wrapped in multiple layers of paper. Liz opened the box with her head bowed down with David's. Each layer had a special note. The first read "To Liz". The second read "Stop ruining my plans". Finally, the ring box had a note inside that said " Look up". There was David standing with her engagement ring as the beautiful Christmas lights glistened.
