Please RSVP by September 14th, 2023, to be included on our final guest list. You may RSVP online through our website. To reply online, please use the RSVP link..... While replying online is our preferred method for RSVP's, if you are having trouble and unable to do so, please text either Liz or Ariana with your intentions to attend.
All those who are invited are named on your RSVP page. Please refer to the invitation to know who is invited. Unfortunately, while we wish we could invite additional guests, our guest count is limited and maximized. If someone listed on your invitation cannot make it, please do NOT RSVP someone in their place. We have other friends and family who are very special to us that we would love to be able to invite in these cases.
While we love all of the children in our lives, the only children attending will be those in our wedding party. We kindly ask that you secure childcare for your children and enjoy an adult-only evening celebrating with us.
We ask that all of our guests arrive in style! We would appreciate if our guests would dress in formal, semi-formal or cocktail attire. While we understand you may be more comfortable in jeans or other casual-wear, save those for the after party. Just like you shouldn't wear white to a wedding, we ask that no one wear maroon as a main garment. We both want to feel special - two brides are better than one! ... Please keep in mind that October in Virginia is unpredictable. Weather permitting (no rain), our wedding ceremony will take place outdoors. Cocktail hour and some parts of the reception will take place on a covered patio. Dinner will be served in the barn, which is temperature controlled. All this to say, be flexible! Be sure to bring your dancing shoes, as we can't wait to dance the night away with our favorite people!
Please arrive 15-30 minutes before the ceremony begins so you can be seated before we begin.
We are having an unplugged ceremony. What that means is no guest will be allowed to take photos during the ceremony portion of the evening. We hired and paid for professional photographers who we trust to capture these special moments. We prefer our guests to be present in this special moment with us. Don't worry, we will give everyone access to these photos later on! During the remainder of the evening, please snap photos to your heart's desire! When posting to social media, remember to use our hashtag (#WachterDownTheAisle) so we can catch up on the shenanigans of the night later on.
Duh! You will be well-fed, don't worry about that! Our amazing caterers will have hors d'oeuvres options throughout cocktail hour, followed by a buffet style dinner and dessert during the reception.
Please make us aware of your dietary restrictions when submitting your RSVP. We will reserve plates that meet dietary needs based on these responses.
Absolutely! We will be serving limited signature cocktails, domestic beer, and red and white wine. Obviously, this won't meet the preferences of each guest. If you would like to bring your own drinks, please store them in your vehicle until after dinner. Following the formal events of the evening, you may bring a single cooler into the barn for quick and easy access to your drinks.
Please feel free to reach out to either of us with your questions, up until the day of the wedding. On that day, please direct any questions to our wedding coordinator, Sylvia Fitzgerald.
