A 45 minute drive from the hotel, Evergreen is a quaint, beautiful town that reminds us of a Hallmark movie. This hike is rated "difficult" but the views are worth it. Post this hike, check out the Willow Creek Café to eat lunch with a view of the Evergreen lake and the mountains!
Red Rocks is a well known outdoor amphitheater and definitely a bucket list experience for music goers around the world. It takes you through the meadows surrounding the giant monoliths that make this park famous. Make sure to tour the amphitheater during your visit and climb the steps to the top for views down into the City of Denver!
10 minutes from the hotel, this grown-up play place is jam-packed with arcade games, pinball machines, traditional and duckpin bowling, a dog-friendly beer garden with live music on Saturday nights, games like cornhole and giant chess on the sky deck (with unreal Rocky Mountain views), two bars and a full food menu.
7 minutes from the hotel and hands down one of the best things that happened to Denver in 2021! If you walk in and order, it's half the wait as the drive through. Pro tip: Call ahead and find out the wait time. If you don't get a double double, you should be ashamed of yourself!

A downtown Denver historic and fun destination it's 30 minutes from the hotel and worth checking out. Denver Union Station boasts an eclectic array of the city’s top local restaurants, bars and shops. Step-through any of the Denver Union Station entrances and you’ll automatically see that history got a makeover. Every detail of the stunning Great Hall space pays homage to a pioneer spirit while embracing a truly modern sensibility. All the restaurants are top notch and grabbing an ice cream and walking around downtown during the summer can't be beat!
Explore culinary options after picking up one of their twenty draft beers, classic cocktails, or affordably priced wines. Enjoy a beverage at one of two large bars (main level and rooftop) or grab a seat in the lounge, dining area, or rooftop deck. Fun fact: We went here the 2nd day we moved to Denver (picture above) and in true Andrew fashion, he ran into someone he met in NYC years ago!
Check out RiNo aka River North which is an artsy area north of Downtown that has grown a lot in the past 5 years. A spacious, large-scale taproom and coffee bar, Improper City features 36 taps, a full bar selection, specialty cocktails, and a menu that rotates seasonally. The graffiti-adjacent patio is dog friendly, has a seasonal bar space, great wifi, community games, and hosts a number of food trucks.
Great beers, great patio and right in LoHi, not far from Avanti, Linger and Little Man Ice cream. The area is walkable and full of local gems. What would a visit to Denver be without visiting a brewery? There are SO many and hard to choose a favorite!
Liza's favorite but truly Denver has many incredible ice cream parlors. If you are downtown, go for LittleMan or Sweet Cow. If you're near Cherry Creek, stop by here, but prepare for a line wherever you choose in the summer!
Not only is Cherry Creek Burt and Lynn's hood but one of the cutest shopping areas and home to Denver's finest restaurants. From September 4th-6th the neighborhood comes alive for an arts festival! The Cherry Creek Arts Festival is an innovative outdoor fine art event featuring 220 juried artist exhibitors selling original artworks, family-friendly art activities for people of all ages, live music, immersive art experiences and amazing food & drink. The three-day event gives patrons the rare and special opportunity to meet and purchase art from artists from around the country. Make sure to stop for lunch at True Food, North or one of the other many cafes. You'll see right away why Burt rarely leaves Cherry Creek :)
