It all began on a night out reconnecting with some mutual friends. Josh had recently returned home from his military service in Colorado Springs, and Liz had recently moved to Las Colinas. After a fun night of playing coy, Josh gave Liz the best hug ever and asked for her number. They became fast friends, which soon led to several dates- including their first kiss at the Truck Yard in Dallas! After that, Josh wooed Liz with his guitar playing, and Liz had Josh smitten with her cooking. Since then, they have gone on many adventures together and adopted two adorable kitties, Daisy and Lilly.

After several fun (stressful) months of house shopping, Liz had finally found "the one." Unknown to her, Josh had been secretly been devising a plan with her family and friends, as he had also found "the one!" Several nights before the house closing, Josh asked Liz to go with him on a date to the Truck Yard in Dallas where the two had their first kiss. As they arrived, they got a raffle ticket for the big event later. After a drink or two of liquid courage, it was time for the big raffle. Unfortunately, Liz never wins these things and had lost her ticket. When they called the numbers, Josh miraculously found the winning ticket on the floor and they both went downstairs to claim their prize. This whole time, Liz knew the numbers didn't match and thought Josh was pulling a prank. She figured things out when he got on stage alone and got down on one knee!! Of course, she said, "YES," and that is when their nearest and dearest swooped in to join the celebration. The rest is history...
