August 2021 I was an incoming freshman and Eli was incoming junior at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. I was previously living in Fort Worth and had just graduated from high school while Eli was transferring from New Mexico Junior College. We were both majoring in Criminal Justice and were in the same class, "Intro to Criminal Justice". I had just found a friend group in that class when I finally noticed the boy with curly hair that randomly started sitting in front of us everyday. The same boy who asked for my snap chat to see if I was in the class group chat but really just wanted an excuse to talk to me. Fast forward to January of 2022, which we hung out almost everyday until Eli asked me to be his valentines date which was our first official date together. Not even two weeks later, Eli asked me to be his girlfriend on February 22nd, 2022 and almost four years later, we are now getting married in May 2026. Every year has been a lesson, a blessing and just another year of falling more in love with my best friend and the person God brought into my life.
