January of 2016: While in grad school at USC, one of Liya's friends from undergrad texted her to come out to a show in Hollywood. There, Tyler was introduced to Liya by said friend (whom Tyler happened to go to high school with). He thought she was a local Angeleno, so he asked for her number and if she could show him around Los Angeles, like the good little local she was. They danced, they kissed, and six months later, after a lot of texting, phone calls discussing The Office, and toying around with visiting each other in both LA and STL, Liya made the trip to Saint Louis that forever changed the course of her life. 11 months after that, Liya bit the bullet and moved to Saint Louis. Now, she's pretty stoked to be marrying Tyler Jackson Stokes.
