Which hotel/ resort should I stay at?

Answer

All guests should be staying at the Majestic Mirage to enjoy all our wedding festivities! The Majestic Mirage is a 4 star, all-inclusive resort on Bavaro Beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We have loved our previous stays at this resort! When booking online, Majestic Mirage requires a 5 night minimum stay. What day is the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding will take place on April 20, 2022 with celebrations being held April 18th- April 21st. Details can be found under the Schedule tab.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for all our festivities is tropical chic. For women, this can be short or long dresses. Just think easy breezy and flowy! For men, long pants are required with coat and tie optional.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception will both take place outdoors. The ceremony will be on the beach with the reception poolside.

Will transportation be provided? How do you recommend getting to the hotel?

Answer

The Majestic Property is about 30 minutes away from PUJ International Airport. There are many affordable, safe taxi options that can bring you to the resort. What COVID health and safety measures are currently in place in the Dominican Republic?

Answer

Passengers are required to fill out an E-Ticket form when entering and exiting the Dominican Republic. For each entry and exit a new E-Ticket is required and the code generated upon form completion can be presented at the airport on a digital device or printed and presented on paper. The E-Ticket form must be completed here: eTicket (migracion.gob.do) Majestic Resorts has introduced advanced hygiene and health practices, based on the latest recommendations of the most renowned international health organizations and up-to-date requirements of local governments. Throughout their stay, Majestic guests will find precautionary measures at key touch points

Do I need a COVID test to enter the Dominican Republic? Will testing be provided at the resort to return home?

Answer

Most travelers (for example, from United States, Canada, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Panama, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Puerto Rico, etc.) do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival to enter the Dominican Republic. For up to date information on traveling into the United States, visit https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/international-travel-during-covid19.html You will need to get a COVID-19 viral test (regardless of vaccination status or citizenship) no more than 1 day before you travel by air into the United States. You must show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight. Majestic Resorts has available COVID-19 antigen and PCR testing at its resorts. Testing will be offered at the resorts for the convenience of our guests. It is recommended to reserve appointments at least 72-hours prior to your departure time from the resort. Appointment reservations may be made while at the resort unless your stay is 3 days or less you may request the appointment prior to arrival. Appointments can be made by visiting the front desk. A copy of passport is required to book the appointment. We suggest booking your appointment shortly after your arrival.

Is it appropriate to tip at an all inclusive resort?

Answer

While tipping is not required, tips are very much appreciated and welcomed by the hard working resort staff. Such instances include when ordering drinks, eating at restaurants, and receiving room service. Tips are accepted in US currency and even just a few dollars goes a long way!

Are there a la carte restaurants at the Majestic Mirage?

Answer

Majestic Mirage boast 8 incredible restaurants ranging in fresh seafood and prime cut steaks to Japanese, Italian, and French cuisine. A la carte restaurants are included with your stay. Reservations are highly encouraged so we recommend booking shortly after arrival. Note: Dress code applies at many of these restaurants. For men, long pants are required and no sandals. Surcharges ($) may apply for certain selections such as premium liquors, champagne and wine.

How many pools are on property?

Answer

Majestic Resorts has 12 pools throughout with 4 Swim Up bars. Opening hours 8am to 6pm. Complimentary Bali Beds and Sun beds throughout the entire resort, pool and beach areas. Pool and beach areas tend to fill up quick so reserve your spot in the sun early!

Will my cellphone work in the Dominican Republic?

Answer

Contact your service plan provider if you intend on making many long distance calls with in the Dominican Republic as it can get costly. Majestic Mirage offers complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the resort allowing for free internet usage and iMessaging. Many providers also have Wi-Fi calling features completely free. Just make sure to set Roaming Off and turn off Cellular Data using your cell phone settings.
