Hotel
Our room block at the Wyndham is no longer available and the resort is completely booked. There are not many hotels located in Rio Grande, so we suggest the following alternatives: AirBnb: There are a lot of options located nearby, a few Airbnb listings include properties located at the Margaritaville Timeshare Condos or the Wyndham condos. If you book these options, then you will still be close by the Wyndham Hotel and be able to take the shuttle to the venue for the wedding. Margaritaville Timeshare Resort is a sister property to the Wyndham --Has have very limited availability for 1 bedroom condo suites, some with pullout couches, so could likely sleep 4 adults. $359 per night Call the company which books the unused timeshares directly at 800-625-1649. Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve is another nearby hotel which did not offer room blocks. There is also the St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort.
Rental Car
If you are planning to stay in Rio Grande, we do recommend getting a rental car through the airport, or utilizing the airport shuttle service. The wedding location is 40 minutes from San Juan airport, and the Wyndham is around 45 minutes from the airport. The roads can be a bit difficult to navigate if you are not used to driving in Puerto Rico so be sure to take this into consideration. Otherwise, there is also Uber available at the rate of around $90 from the airport to Rio Grande. Cell service can be spotty in some areas though so it might be more difficult to get an Uber for the return trip.

Shuttle
October 22, 2021 4:00 pm - 11:00 pm
A shuttle will pick guests up at the Wyndham Rio Grande at 4:00 pm to transport them to The Hacienda Siesta Alegre. The shuttle will also transport guests back to the Wyndham at the conclusion of the wedding reception.
Travel Note
We will continue to monitor the COVID protocols and provide updates if anything changes in the meantime. Vaccinations are required for both employees and guests of all hotels, paradores, guesthouses, and short-term rentals across the Island. Those not vaccinated must present a negative PCR or antigen test taken within 72 hours of the beginning of their visit. If staying longer than one week, they must continue to present negative tests on a weekly basis. Those not vaccinated due to medical or religious reasons must provide proper documentation confirming this and are still required to present negative tests on a weekly basis. If the traveler arrives without a test, they must upload either a PCR molecular or antigen COVID-19 test taken on the Island, within 48 hours of arrival, or they will receive a $300 fine. Masks are also required for all indoor spaces, regardless of vaccination status.
