Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can take a night off and celebrate with us!

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail, please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Hot and (hopefully!) sunny with an average high temperature of 26°C in the day, and an average low of 17°C in the evening. The sun should go down around 8:30pm.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both will take place at the same venue: Honsberger Estate Winery. No need to travel in between!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting (fingers crossed!), the ceremony will take place at Honsberger's beautiful outdoor ceremony site, and the reception will be inside their rustic-chic barn. The outdoor patio will be used for cocktail hour, our meal stations, and additional dance space later on in the evening (again, weather permitting).

What time does it start?

Our ceremony will start at 4:30pm. If you're taking advantage of our free shuttle service from the hotel, no need to worry - we will get you there in plenty of time!

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the outdoor patio, where we will be serving canapés and beverages.

What type of food will be served?

Answer

We've hopefully got something for everyone! It will be a stations menu, so you can choose from our veggie station, chicken station, and steak station - visit as many stations as you like as many times as you like!

What is the situation with the bar?

Answer

Open bar starts from 5:00pm when cocktail hour begins, and stays open right up until last call at midnight. So, leave your cash at home and prepare to party!

Can I bring a date?

If your invitation says we’ve reserved 2 seats in your honour, then yes! If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

We’re going to get the party started early with welcome drinks the night before our big day at the Moxie's attached to the hotel. See our 'Schedule' page for more details!
