We met on Bumble. Before our first date, I looked back at his photos and noticed something familiar.. The picture of him in front of his home looked a lot like a home that I had designed before. It turns out he owned a house by a development company that I’d worked for. On a hunch, I reached out to a friend who also owned a house by the developer in the same area. Turns out they were next door neighbors! She vouched for him bejng a really great guy and it turns out he is. I took him on a hike. He made me homemade bolognese and focaccia and it was game over. Now we will be married a few days before the anniversary of the first day we met. :)
By David So it really started a month before the engagement date, when I was sure. I went to a jeweler in town that specialized in custom rings (while Chelsea was at work to be sneaky) and designed a ring that I thought she'd like. After I got it I decided to wait until after Christmas, and a few days later (after a nice sushi dinner) I asked her to marry me in her apartment, on her couch, alone together. She gave a shocked 'yeah' and I asked her again... just to make sure it wasn't a reaction. Then we watched the Matrix: Resurrections. It was ok.
