With Jack living in NY state and Lih living in NH, their hearts spoke up and the desire to be together and face this quarantine under the same roof grew bigger. - We didn't have doubts about what we wanted and on April 14 of 2020, we got officially married! We moved to our apartment and we are very happy together! However, we still want to have our dream to share this moment with all of you, because you are special and we are thankful for having you in our lives. More than ever we need to share kindness and love!

- By Jack We met through social media when I was a sophomore in college at Franklin Pierce University. Lih was part of an exchange program and she was living in Grafton, MA at the time. This Brazilian girl really caught my attention and we both wanted to be friends and get to know each other. We started texting for a few weeks before we met personally. We also FaceTime right before thanksgiving. The conversation was great, and I thought she was so pretty. I really wanted to meet her but unfortunately, we got caught up in our own busy lives and never got to meet until that May of 2016. She decided to see me finally after 6 months waiting! I drove out to see her on a Saturday after work. I was nervous but excited. When we met, I knew I wanted to be with her. She was so amazing! We had ice cream and at the end of the night, we had our first kiss. I knew then it was official.

- Por Jack Nos conhecemos através de rede social, eu estava no segundo ano de faculdade (Franklin Pierce University). A Lih estava em intercâmbio, morando na cidade de Grafton-MA. Aquela menina brasileira realmente chamou minha atenção, mas a princípio nós queríamos nos conhecer melhor e sermos amigos. Trocamos mensagens por algumas semanas, também fizemos um Facetime um pouco antes do Thanksgiving (novembro de 2015). Nossa conversa foi ótima, e pensei comigo “ela é linda”! Eu realmente queria conhecê-la pessoalmente, mas infelizmente estávamos ocupados com as coisas da vida e não conseguimos nos encontrar até maio de 2016. Para a minha surpresa ela decidiu que queria me ver, após seis meses de espera. Eu dirigi para encontrá-la um sábado a tarde depois do trabalho. Eu estava nervoso mas ao mesmo tempo ansioso. Quando nos vimos, eu sabia que era ela a pessoa com quem eu queria ficar. Nos tomamos sorvete e no final da noite, nos beijamos pela primeira vez. Então neste momento eu soube que era oficial.

- By Livia First of all, “I wasn’t expecting, but I was ready!” We are about to have our 4th anniversary together and I remember having conversations with him about preferences in life, dog breeds, and plans for “when we grow up”. I knew Jack was special since the beginning and I decided to marry him way before he proposed. We would spend about 7 hours driving to see each other every weekend. We wanted to be closer and we knew that God put us together. We went through a big challenge in 2017, when moved back to Brazil to renew my student visa. I spent 10 months there getting ready to have him visiting Brazil for the first time. I arrived back in the U.S. in 2018 to do my masters. I was so happy that our relationship not only survived but was stronger than ever. After our 3rd anniversary, I thought “the time is now”. All the nice trips or places that we went I would make sure to get my nails done. The day came like a fairy tale, and it was in a castle believe it or not. We had dinner and when we ordered the dessert a “Beauty and the Beast” theme flower was placed on the table, with a beautiful ring inside. (I couldn’t hear anything that he was saying) So I asked: “OMG! Are you serious? Can I hug you?”. Jack didn’t want a hug he wanted an answer. I said: “Yes!!!”. Then the hug! My nails weren't done, and I wasn’t dressed properly, but it was the most beautiful surprise I could have. I know that now WE ARE READY!

- Por Livia Primeiro de tudo, “eu não estava esperando, mas estava pronta!” Estamos prestes a comemorar nosso quarto aniversário juntos e eu me lembro conversando com ele sobre preferências da vida, raça de cachorros e planos para o nosso futuro. Eu sabia que o Jack era especial desde o começo e decidi que me casaria com ele antes mesmo dele me pedir em casamento. Todos os finais de semanas um de nós sempre tinha que dirigir cerca de 7 horas para nos encontrarmos. Queriamos muito estar perto um do outro. Deus nos colocou juntos, unindo nossos propósitos. Enfrentamos uma grande dificuldade em 2017, quando tive que retornar ao Brasil para renovar meu visto. Fiquei 10 meses lá ansiosa pela a primeira viagem que ele faria ao Brasil. Retornei aos Estados Unidos em 2018 para fazer meu mestrado. Eu estava extremamente feliz, nosso relacionamento não havia sobrevivido apenas a distância mas também estava mais forte do que nunca. Quando completamos 3 anos juntos eu pensei “agora é a hora!”. Para todos os lugares que íamos ou viagens que fazíamos, eu fazia questão de estar com as unhas feitas pois acreditava que ele me pediria em casamento. O dia chegou e foi como um conto de fadas e acredite ou não foi em um castelo. Jantamos, e quando pedimos a sobremesa uma rosa da “Bela e a Fera” foi colocada em cima da mesa, e dentro da rosa tinha um anel lindo. (Eu não conseguia escutar nada do que ele estava falando, eu estava em choque) então eu perguntei: “Sério mesmo? Posso te abraçar?”. Mas o Jack não queria um abraço ele queria uma resposta e eu falei “SIM!!!!”. Então nos abraçamos! Minha unha estava curta, eu não estava bem vestida mas aquela foi a supresa mais linda que ele poderia ter feito. Eu sei que agora, ESTAMOS PRONTOS!
